Living and companionship

Because I live how I want to.

Living at LebensGroß

LebensGroß offers various housing and accommodation options for people with disabilities. The extent of the professional support depends on the individual needs of the residents.

It can range from a few hours to 24 hours a day. The various types of accommodation in the districts of Graz and the surrounding area, Voitsberg and Deutschlandsberg, cover full-time and part-time assisted living and training for living independently (Trainingswohnen).

Short-Term Support

People with disabilities from the age of 15, who live at home, can take advantage of short-term support for up to 28 days in each year. This can occur, for example, when the parents wish to go on holiday, or have to go to hospital or have a work-related appointment. LebensGroß offers 3 short-term places in barrier-free apartments at the Graz-Reininghaus location. There, residents will have the support and professional care of the LebensGroß team.

Visiting Homecare

Homecare assistants from LebensGroß visit and support people with disabilities in their own home. The specific times for support are based on the individual needs of the residents. They are supported with shopping, household chores, visiting the doctor, dealing with the authorities or other aspects relating to individual lifestyle.

Family Relief

Team members of the Family Relief Service (FED in German) take care of children, young people and adults, on an hourly or daily basis, in their private living environment. If family members and relatives need time for themselves or to meet appointments, FED team members step in. Support is geared to daily routines and providing basic care of the person being cared for.
To be eligible for family relief, you must submit an application in accordance with the Disabled Persons Act (Behindertengesetz) to the relevant authority of your registered residence.

Support
for Refugees

Since the outbreak of war in Ukraine, refugees have been cared for in Styria. They are housed in both LebensGroß properties and apartments provided by business partners and the general public. The LebensGroß team supports refugees in finding their way around their new environment, and with administrative questions and professional qualifications.
